Found in Assam India, Bangladesh, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim and Thailand as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte at elevations around 1000 to 2000 meters with crowded small, conical pseudobulbs [sulcate with age] carrying a single apical 6" [15 cm] long leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, 2 3/4" [7 cm] long inflorescence with an umbell of 3 to 6 flowers.
