Common Name The Greenish-White Calanthe

Found in Assam India, eastern Himalayas and Nepal on mossy banks and dense forests at elevations of 660 to 3000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with conical-ovoid to cylindric pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the grooved, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, puberulent, peduncle, puberulent, 9.2 to 12" [23 to 30 cm] long, overall 19.8" to 22.8" [27 to 57 cm] long, laxly few to many flowered inflorescence with triangular-lanceolate, acute, adpressed bracts and lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying primrose scented flowers.
