Found in Bhutan, Assam and Sikkim in the Himalayas well as Myanmar at elevations around 1000 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool, pendent growing epiphyte with small, round, smashed psuedobulbs that have a single, apical, tall, oblong-lanceolate, subfalcate, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a pendant, 4 1/4" [11 cm] long, basal, bracteate inflorescence that has an umbel of apical flowers held below the leaf height.
A cool growing species that requires a slab with a bed of moss, deep shade, regular water and fertilizer and daily mistings to keep the humidity high.
