Found in Bhutan, Assam, India, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in lowland humid, mossy, mixed and coniferous forests on mossy branches along ridge tops around elevations of 410 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with minute, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, stiff, elliptic to broadly elliptic, petiolate leaf that blooms in the spring and summer with a from the rhizome, erect, 2" [5 cm] long inflorescence with 2 basal acuminate bracts and another towards the middle and carrying an apical cluster of a few flowers
